National and State Libraries Australasia is joining AI4LAM as a Founding Organisation
Together, NSLA member libraries harness their collective expertise, experience and scale to empower future-focused and responsive libraries that advance knowledge, inspire curiosity, and uphold the values of inclusive and democratic societies. Therefore, collaboration between AI4LAM and NSLA is particularly important, as it brings together shared expertise and perspectives from across the cultural heritage sector and creates valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, foster innovation, and support the responsible and meaningful use of AI, connecting the Asia/Pacific region with AI4LAM members internationally.

National and State Libraries Australasia (NSLA) is an alliance of the national, state and territory libraries of Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
NSLA member libraries are sector leaders in innovation, digital transformation, and the development of new approaches to library services and user experience. They actively explore, test and experiment with emerging technologies to ensure that libraries and trusted knowledge remain central to intellectual inquiry in an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving information ecosystem.
Artificial intelligence is an important part of this work. NSLA member libraries are exploring and experimenting with AI and other emerging technologies to better understand their opportunities and challenges, develop responsible and practical approaches to their use, and unlock new value from memory collections for both current and future library users.
By joining AI4LAM, NSLA brings major libraries from the Asia Pacific region and strengthens the growing international community of libraries, archives, museums and other cultural heritage organisations working together to explore the opportunities presented by AI. We look forward to sharing knowledge and experiences with NSLA and its member libraries, learning from their innovative work, and supporting collaboration across the global AI4LAM community.
