National Library of Serbia joins AI4LAM Founding Member Organisation

We are delighted to announce that the National Library of Serbia has joined the AI4LAM community as a Founding Member Organisation!

At the LIBER Conference, held in Trondheim from 1 to 3 July 2026, Jasmina Ninkov, Director of the National Library of Serbia, and Ines Vodopivec, Secretary General of AI4LAM, signed a Memorandum of Understanding. By signing the Memorandum, the National Library of Serbia joined the global AI4LAM community, which brings together libraries, archives, museums, universities, and other related institutions from around the world with the aim of advancing the development and responsible use of artificial intelligence in the preservation, management, research, and accessibility of cultural heritage.

Membership in AI4LAM will enable the National Library of Serbia to take a more active role in international projects, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions based on emerging technologies. At the same time, this collaboration represents an important step in strengthening the National Library of Serbia’s international profile and further integrating the institution into global digital transformation processes within the library and information sector.

We are proud to count the National Library of Serbia among the AI4LAM Founding Member Organisations. Its active engagement and contribution to initiatives such as LORYA highlight the innovation, expertise, and collaborative spirit that define the AI4LAM community. Through its commitment to advancing the use of artificial intelligence in the cultural heritage sector, the National Library of Serbia continues to demonstrate the importance of cooperation between libraries, archives, museums, and technology partners in shaping the future of AI-enabled access to knowledge and collections.

We look forward to working together and to the valuable perspectives and expertise that the National Library of Serbia will bring to the AI4LAM community.
